Over the decades many and varied printed testimonies - newspapers, postcards, cinderella stamps - made the National Monument to the Italian Sailor of Brindisi known well beyond the national borders.

The Monument appeared in publications such as Illustrazione del Popolo, Il Mattino Illustrato, La Tribuna Illustrata and the illustrated almanac "Il Salento"; "pro Monumento al Marinaio" cinderella stamps circulated, along with a long series of postcards from the 1930s to the 1960s that spread its image as a symbol of the city and its harbour.
